DescriptionA Cowbridge institution, the annual Reindeer Parade is a firm family favourite that caters for kids (and the big kids in all of us!) The last Sunday of November sees Cowbridge's beautiful high-street transformed into a winter wonderland, as Christmas trees adorn the local shops, and mitten-clad crowds line the streets to see Santa pass through town.
The parade starts at 12pm and includes a nativity, a marching band playing classic tunes, and elves, who make way for Santa himself.
Best of all, his sleigh is pulled by a herd of real reindeer! Following this, children can visit Santa in his grotto to tell him their Christmas wishes, and see the Reindeer up-close in their pens behind the Town Hall.
Charmingly, the very same herd of Reindeer from Scotland have been appearing in the parade for years. In front of the Town Hall, a variety of acts play live music to get you in the Christmas spirit. The day of festivities ends with a bang - quite literally - as the town's Christmas lights are ceremoniously switched on, to a stunning fire-work display
